Vintage Red, Black and Cream Class....

Today we had the Vintage Red, Black and Cream class. We had 6 ladies who created 3 single pages with a kit we put together using Jenni Bowlin papers and a variety of other items. It was hard to get them to all look up from their work for a group photo, but after a few boo-boo's, we managed to get them all to look at the camera at the same time!!

Here Julie is rummaging through her bag of buttons to find the perfect one! We know she did!

Here is a picture of the first layout they created. Very plain, simple and elegant. This layout has original photos of a wedding. They date back to 1971. We tend to not want to use the older photos we have of our parents, grandparents etc. Why not? We should!

It was time for a tea break after all that hard work, and the ladies relaxed at the back with some delicious refreshments. Just for a short while, though, because then it was back to the grindstone to create the next layout!

This is also a very effective, but quick page. Using some of the left over papers from the first layout and just one extra full sheet, circles are cut, some fuzzy cutting is done, photos are arranged and in less than an hour, another scrapbook page is completed!

Here the ladies are all in action - they did not want to waste a minute! They were such a fun group to teach - so eager to learn and so innovative with adding their own personality to their pages. They promised us that they would bring their layouts to photograph when they all had photos on!

This was the bonus page, made with scraps from the first two pages. It is a freestyle layout, using masking and misting as well as some stamping and punching. This is such a quick and easy page! We hope the ladies enjoyed the class and that they will be using the techniques taught in today's class to create loads of their own stunning pages reflecting who they are! Our Saturday classes are very popular and tend to get booked up quickly, so please visit our website to book your seat before it is too late! Remember that we will repeat any Saturday formal class on any day of the week that we have available if you would like to do that! Just send an email to sales@scrapbookstudio.co.za and tell us which class you are interested in. Also sign up for our newsletter at www.scrapbookstudio.co.za and you will always get the class schedules way in advance! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and make time to just have fun!!!!
