Alcohol Ink Class

On 4 January we had our first formal class at the shop - the Alcohol Ink Technique class. We had 7 stunning ladies attend the class. Only one of them had ever used Alcohol Inks, so they were all very excited.

A well deserved break at teatime in our tea garden. ( we will share some more photos of this stunning area later)

Here Tina is assembling her page. The students used Pink Paislee's Mistable Papers, two pieces of cardstock, masks, die cuts and various glossy papers to create their masterpieces. They could all choose their own colour schemes and could use all our class products. Included in their kitted price of R180 was an Alcohol Ink of their choice for each student, as well as a pack of glossy cards so that they could go practice at home.

Yvette with her blue page - we just love the combination of blues and the Silver mixative she added. The gears were cut using a Tim Holtz Sizzix die, cut with the Cuttlebug.

Linda is not a Scrapbooker at all - but you would never say so! She created this Wild Life themed page using some photographs she took when she was still in photography.

Sharon is actually a cardmaker, but she had this original photo of her parents on their wedding day. Her father coloured it. She created a stunning vintage page featuring soft greens and gold.

Elize from Cape Town scrapped a page of one of her daughters. She used dark reds and purples with some Copper Mixative.

Leonie wanted to do the double page to show off her beautiful granddaughter stealing her glasses during Christmas 2010. The colours are so vibrant and beautiful and we think her version of the layout is much better than the original! We hope the ladies enjoyed their class and we look forward seeing all their alcohol ink creations!! Remember that you can book this class on a one to one basis as well! Enjoy your week - we hope it will be filled with Scrapbooking!
