Do you also have loads of useless CD's lying around, and you feel you just can't throw them away? Well, here is something for you to do with them! Donsie created this beautiful piece by taking an old CD and transforming it into something spectacular! Just for the record - she had no idea where she was going with this when she started. She was keeping her husband company, and started cleaning and rearranging her table. She was sorting her paperscraps when she found a lost cd on the table. As she had just sorted her Fabscraps paperscraps, she decided at the spur of the moment to create something. She started off by covering the CD with some scraps of the stunning Fabscraps Shabby Chic range. She then decided to play and see where her playing would take her!
She cut a circle from chipboard and covered it with puffpaint and some Ranger Verdigris Embossing powder. She used her heatgun to heat the puffpaint and melt the embossing powder. She glued it to the center of her covered CD. She then made 3 roses from another piece of Fabscraps Shabby Chic paper. She coloured a darling little Tilda with Distress Inks and a waterbrush pen, and mounted her on top of the puff paint circle. She punched some leaves with a MS punch, and arranged them together with the roses at the bottom of the CD, so that it appears as if the little Tilda is peeping out from behind the flowers. Stickles were added to the roses for a stunning effect. She attached some pearls around the outer edge of the CD to finish off the project. She punched a hole in the CD with her Crop-a-Dile and attached a piece of ribbon to it. All done! We were amazed when she came to show us the next day. We sometimes forget to just play and have fun with this wonderful hobby we all enjoy. This project would be ideal as a gift for a little girl or a "just because" present for a friend!
