Monica's Xmas Class

Hello everyone! We had Monica's Xmas project class on Saturday for the first group of ladies. It was stunning!! Everyone worked really hard! This is Genevieve's finished project. Isn't it stunning!! The calender was specifically designed by Monica for this project. A photo or note can be clipped into the crocodile clip that has been altered with alcohol ink. This is not limited to Christmas - now you can make one of these as a birthday gift, and anniversary present, or just make one for yourself because you can!

Here Kim and Monica are discussing the qualities of different Glue Dots ( we have over 10 different ones in stock) and the rest of the ladies are working hard on covering their wooden blocks and putting together the sides of the project.

Julie is one of the most methodical scrappers we have ever met! She is outcome geared, and before you know it, she has put everything together without breaking a sweat!

Genevieve decided to change hers a bit, and here she is putting the finishing touches on her project. Thank you to all the ladies who made this a very special day - we are so glad that you were able to leave with completed projects and we would like to thank Monica for all the effort she puts into her projects and the way she spoiled all the ladies with the extras and really creating something specatacular!! Looking forward to the next one!

Technique Class

On 19 October we posted about the layout above. On the Monday we got a phone call from Nan to book the class for the layout. When I did the layout originally, I did not think of doing a class with it. But as time went on, we got even more requests! Nan booked the 12th of November. Three of them from PE would come to do the layout.

And here they all are! It was the first time most of them had misted, stamped and fuzzy cut in one layout, and it was quite an experience for them. Paul, Jenee's other half, was a very good and patient other half. He was working on his laptop the whole day, and shared the good news with us that South Africa's Table Mountain was voted the 7th Natural Wonder of the World! They all left with completed layouts and said they thoroughly enjoyed all the new techniques they learnt. Thanks for joining us, ladies! We hope to see alot more of you!

Stunning!

We just had to share this beautiful page Desiree made of her youngest daughter. She used a sheet of Prima's Winter 2011 Reflection paper as her background. The paper already has beautiful designs on it, and she just enhanced it with Stickles and Glossy Accents. She them matted her photo twice and distressed the edges. Bella Blvd Alpha stickers were used for the title, which says it all! How have you used a patterned paper as your background? Send us your layouts to info@scrapbookstudio.co.za. We would love to see your work! Enjoy what is left of your week and happy scrapping!!
