We had a QUEUE!!!!

We have always wondered what it would be like if we had a queue in the shop. We decided to have a sale to get rid of some really old stock ( like over 2000 mostly double sided patterned papers for only R3-00) and although we did send an sms, we have had sales before, and hoped to get rid of some of the old stock to make room for the new shipments already in the air for 2011 ( first one arriving on the 7th of January already.........) And today it happened! WE HAD A QUEUE!!!! It was so funny! I was teaching a class, and only realised what was going on in the front of the shop when we had a tea break! I just HAD to capture it!

Here is Donsie - handling the queue so cool and calm ( I would have been like a Jumping Jack, but she is so collected)!

Jennifer - without whom we would not be able to run the shop! I think all she hears at night in bed is " Jennifer, Jennifer, where is this, bring me that" She is a star and an invaluable part of our team!

This is what was happening at the back of the shop - a cardmaking class with 9 students! We embossed and had so much fun!!! A HUGE thank you to every person that was so patient today, and made the sale such a success! We need all your patronage to make the shop a creative haven and we thank you for your compliments and ideas! We truly hope we meet expectations and that we will be able to provide you with a place to express yourself creatively for many years to come!

Genevieve's last 2010 class

On Wednesday Genevieve taught her last class for 2010. 7 ladies attended and they all had a ball! They layout was stunning as well! LOL! Here Zoe from Scrapaholics in PE gives us a great smile! She has a great online shop as well! So nice that we can all get along and enjoy the craft together! After all, we all love Scrapbooking!

Here Genevieve is explaining to Monique and Amanda how to do something..........must be somethin important, although by the look on Amanda's face I sense trouble or a very clever comment brewing........

Here is a great picture of the two naughtiest scrappers ( apart from Gail) we have ever met! They are a hoot................

as can be seen by the response from the rest of the ladies!!!! It was a stunning day and the pages turned out GREAT! Thanks to every lady who joined us and we hope you enjoy your pages and FINISH them!!!

Classes Galore!

Today was a fun day filled with classes at the shop! Here Donsie is teaching a class on how to make various flowers

This was Jeaines's class this morning - the ladies had a ball!! What an eclectic group! It almost feels as if something is amiss if we don't have them all in class! We have had many classes this December, and they have all been fully booked. Although the shop is small and the class space limited, it really just added to the intimacy and the fun! The ladies got to know each other really well, and a huge range of topics were covered during class ( not just scrapping!!) and everyone walked away with stunning pages!

This is the way our clients shop..........

We love our clients. We love how they get excited with us about products. Especially when they learn new techniques and have to make sure they go back home with the important goodies.......

They have to make sure they leave the non-essential items.......but which are those? Here Annemarie from Cape Town is desperately trying to make up her mind.........can she?

Some clients arrive - whether sitting up or lying down! They will not be deterred! Izette's sister in law made the trip every day - she had a back operation and was wearing a back brace, and she could not sit. Only lie down or stand. But, miss the shopping - for nothing in the world!
At least she got a good parking spot in front of the shop most of the time!! Love you ladies!!

For full details of how this layout was created, visit www.cariena.blogspot.com. All the Ranger products used on this layout is available at Scrapbook Studio, Jeffreys Bay. If there are any other Ranger/Tim Holtz products you would like, please contact us on 042-2932781, and we will do our best to find it for you!

Christmas Scrapbook Page With Irene Tan and Tim Holtz!

People often ask us how to use the Tim Holtz paper from his paper pads. I guess it is easy if you are making a card, cutting out an element. But how do you SCRAP a page using the papers? Irene Tan from Scrapperlicious made a gorgeous page using his paper pad and other items. Here are the full instructions to the layout, and here is the link to this lady's blog. She is truly a wonderful artist! We stock most of the Ranger and Tim Holtz items used in this layout and her other layouts!

Stampclub without stamping.............

It was Monica's turn to WOW us at the Scrapbook Studio Stampclub meeting this Wednesday. We knew we would be blown away, but just HOW, none of us knew!! We created this masterpiece! A nice sized wall hanging, made from ordinary chipboard, grungeboard elements, cut with Tim Holtz' dies, crackle paint, distress inks, UTEE, texture paste and many more. It was so much fun - we actually all voted that Monica should teach at every month's meeting! Thank you, Monica, for blowing our socks away with your creativity. As the post title says, we had stampclub without stamping, non-stop for more than 3 hours! YUMMIE!!!
